Official Aitkin County court questions belong with the court or records custodian that maintains the file. The routes below separate an official case, hearing, copy, payment, or restricted-record question from this private reference resource.

This Is Not a Court or Government Office. We cannot search an official docket, alter a court date, seal a record, issue a certified copy, or provide legal advice. Aitkin County Court Administration and Minnesota Judicial Branch systems handle those tasks.

Need an Official Docket or Record?

Start with the official route that matches the record or question. MCRO is the statewide source for eligible public case, document, hearing, and judgment information. Aitkin’s daily court calendar is useful for scheduled events. Court Administration is the local contact for the original public file, copy products, certification, access questions, and local calendar verification.

  • A case or docket: use Minnesota Court Records Online or contact Court Administration with the file number.
  • A hearing setting: check the Aitkin daily calendar and confirm changes with the court.
  • A certified copy: request it from Court Administration. An MCRO download is not certified.
  • A payable citation: use the statewide payment guidance or Court Payment Center route shown on the citation.
  • A sealed or confidential record: ask Court Administration which rule or form applies. The CON100/CON101 process may require a judicial decision.

For local Aitkin District Court files, contact Aitkin County Court Administration, Aitkin County Courthouse, 209 Second Street NW, Room 242A, Aitkin, MN 56431. The public phone is 218-927-7350; the Judicial Branch lists regular hours as Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The county’s directory and facilities pages use more than one building reference, so call before mailing a time-sensitive request or visiting.
